Empower educators, youth & communities
We help energise and inspire your educators
By working with The Pacific Institute, you can have access to highly effective and cost efficient
in-house professional development initiatives. We help provide a range of tools and techniques that can help your educators develop positive practices for the classroom, so you can help students achieve their potential.
We can help you maximise student outcomes
For many young people, understanding the value of setting goals and an increased level of self awareness has the potential to change their lives.
Workshops aimed at tertiary level as well as for high school students in years 8-12 help students expect more of themselves. This focus on raising aspirations helps them stay on track and maximises their potential towards completing a tertiary qualification.
We can help you empower your community through education
- help build self esteem for the members of your community
- establish goals and raise aspirations
- build optimism and resilience to better cope with crisis or to reduce disadvantage
- enhance success in study, relationships and careers

Closing the gap between education and life skills: Curriculum Council of WA endorses workshop
Improving training and education outcomes
“The reason that we chose to commit to the workshops was to continue to build life skills, aspirations and to motivate students towards their career goals. The Pact Schools have been working with The Pacific Institute to help teach our students practical skills, so that they can enhance success at school, develop positive relationships with their family and ultimately improve their general health and well - being. With the help of Murdoch University and several community partners, 6,500 of our high school students will be a part of this journey.”
Kerry Chipchase, Principal, Rockingham Senior High School, W.A.

“There is clearly a gap between the aspirations of many current high school students and the need for Australia to have enough highly skilled people able to adapt to the uncertainties of a rapidly moving global economy. Our aim with The Pacific Institute is to teach students ‘learned optimism’, build their internal resilience and provide the right messages at the right time in their life in order to positively influence their future behaviour and performance. We know that we won’t see all of these students enter higher education but we can see that the potential benefits for the students is nothing short of life changing and that alone is worth our investment.”
